Carina Event Manager and PBX Initial Setup
Anyone can set up the Carina Event Manager and PBX right out of the box. In this Carina how-to video, we’ll walk you through the necessary steps for setting up your new Carina Event Manager and PBX.
A few helpful tips before you start:
This tutorial requires that users have IPV6 enabled on their computer before they begin. IPV6 is enabled by default on most Windows 10 and Windows 11 devices.
When first logging into your Carina Event Manager, default login and password are both “admin”.
When assigning an IP address to your Carina PBX, enter a Static IP address that is not already assigned on your network.
Carina Event Manager and PBX Initial Setup Steps:
1. Connect the Carina Event Manager,the Carina PBX, and your computer to the PoE
2. Open a new browser window and enter “[fe80::1a39:19ff:feXX:XXXX]” into the address bar.
3. Replace XX:XXXX with the last 6 digits found on your Carina Event Manager’s MAC Address
4. Log in to your Carina Event Manager (default login and password are both “admin”)
5. Under ‘Endpoints” select “Individual Configuration”
6. Authorize “Wahsega PBX”
7. Under “Authorized Endpoints” select “Wahsega PBX”
8. Select “Network”
9. Select “Static IP”
10. Set IP address for Wahsega PBX (enter a static IP address that is not already assigned on your network)
11. Save changes
12. Reprovision
13. Wait for status to change to a green checkmark
14. Select “DHCP” server
15. If you do not already have an active DHCP server…enable DHCP server
16. Save changes
17. Reprovision
18. Wait for Status to change to a green checkmark
19. Under “Server Settings” select “Network”
20. Select “Static IP”
21. Set IP address for Carina Event Manager
22. Save changes
23. Restart device
24. Wait of device to restart (unplug then replug PBX while Event Manager is restarting)
