UVexplorer's network discovery uses three types of discovery
methods; ARP Cache, Ping Sweep and Quick Scan.
The quick scan method is the fasted discovery option and it
implements CISCO's proprietary CDP sightings to discover devices.
This discovery is limited to network devices only.
The quick scan is the best for a short tests of UVexplorer.
The next discovery method is the PING sweep option.
This discovery method is for a focused discovery of your network.
This option will only target the seed IP addresses listed field
below. This option is great if you are
discovering a set network only.
And do not want to discover your full network.
For clients who want to discover their full network, the arp cache
option is best for you. This option searches the listed seed I.P.
addresses and then searches the ARP tables and other sources to
discover ALL devices on your network.
Please be aware this is the longest discovery method as it will
search through your entire network to discover all devices.
