Hello and welcome to this video on how to improve
PRTG maps with UVexplorer.
The PRTG maps are a great tool to manually create
visualizations of your network.
You can add devices from an extensive list of icons, resize these
icons, add shapes, tree views and create connections.
You can also add background images, graphs, and display the PRTG
sensors on each device.
The flexibility in PRTG maps allows you to arrange
your network map as you prefer.
UVexplorer can improve your Paessler maps in two areas.
First, it can automatically import a Layer 2 and layer 3 map of your
network into PRTG.
This saves you time in creating the map and you can still update the
icons and background as you see fit.
Second, it automatically and periodically exports a map into PRTG to
ensure the network map stays current.
Once setup, you no longer have to manually update your layer 2 map to
meet N.I.S. 2 regulations.
