Did you know that as of the Windows 10 Fall Creators Update, Windows 10 now has built-in ransomware protection? By default however, it's not enabled. Watch this video or do the following to turn on:

1. Make sure you have the Fall Creators Update installed: https://www.microsoft.com/en-us/softw...
2. Type in "defender" in the windows 10 search bar and click on "Windows Defender Security Centre".
3. Click on "Virus & Threat Protection" followed by "Virus and Threat Protection Settings".
4. Scroll down and turn on "Controlled Folder Access". IF YOU HAVE 3RD PARTY VIRUS PROTECTION SOFTWARE SUCH AS AVG INSTALLED YOU WILL NOT HAVE THE ABILITY TO ENABLE THIS!
5. Some folders will be protected automatically but if you want to protect more, click on "Protected Folders" followed the by plus to add the folders you want to protect.
6. Click the back arrow once you are done and click on "Allow an app through controlled folder access" if there is a program that you want to white-list. If not, you can now relax as your files are safe :)
