Prior to Sonic P-06 being released, I was a staunch believer that Sonic 06 was an unsalvageable game. And while I dislike playing the original Sonic 06 even on an emulator (I tried, despite not encountering glitches or game breaking bugs), the overall controls, game feel and just certain game design choices make for a dull if not downright frustrating Sonic game, everything I said about the original gane doesn't apply here.
So it is that much more amazing and praise worthy that the total remake of Sonic 06, in the form of Project 06 (referred to as Sonic P-06) is that much more fun to play and one of my favorite Sonic fangames to date, up there with the likes of Sonic Robo Blast 2, Sonic BTS & ATS and Sonic GT. Weather you dislike the original Sonic 06 or not is irrelevant, anyone Sonic fan or not, have to at least give Sonic P-06 a shot, especially now with the Silver Update that just released.
That said, I cannot wait for the rest of the updates, such as the boss fights, as well as the hub worlds and missions and how ChaosX could revamp them (should they even tackle them in the first place).
