I think, without exaggeration, that Gamma in SRB2 is one of the best character mods this Sonic fangame with a long history has to offer. Not just because it's a faithful adaptation of his gamestyle from Sonic Adventure, but it's just fun and SRB2 levels feel tailor made for this robot, complete with time limit mechanics.
You'd think with the hover/double jump and the ability to shoot anything, Gamma would be broken, but as compensation, he can't jimp on enemies, turns harder and is in general slower compared to even vanilla Sonic. And depending on the designated time limit, some stages can be harder if downright inpossible due to lack of enemies and props to shoot.
And don't even get me started on the sprite and sound design. Yep, these aren't 3D models but 2D sprites. This is one of the few 2D character mods for SRB2, if not the only one, that perfectly emulates the feeling of a 3D character with 2D sprites.
This is a must play SRB2 mod thay I recommend any Sonic fan to try out.
