GE F-16 Flight Simulator Demo: Handsfree Landing Experiment 5
5th demonstration of a perfectly stabilized approach by holding the hands fully off the controls in the last part of the final approach. In real life this would not be possible because we should touch the controls to execute a flare maneuver. This time the handsfree landing is realized with a higher angle of attack then in the previous experiments. The landing is softer. The F-16 was trimmed for 14 degrees pitch angle and 130 knots in this experiment compared to 10 degrees and 140 knots in the previous experiments.
