GE F-16 Flight Simulator Demo: Speed Instability
Google Earth F-16 flight simulator demonstration to show that the F-16 has no speed stability or is speed unstable. Initially trimmed for 140 knots in level flight which requires a nose-up attitude of around 12 degrees. After increasing the power, the speed immediately changes (increases), indicating that the aircraft has negative speed stability. Aircraft that are positive speed stable do not change airspeed when the power is increassed in a trimmed configuration.
