“I've got a perplexing issue. Users have reported that they've shared a folder with several external users (via a sharing link), giving them edit permission. When those users open the folder in a browser, the New menu contains only "Folder". The other options (Word document, Excel workbook, etc.) are visible when internal users access the folder. I've been unable to replicate this with my own folders and guest accounts, but the people reporting it have replicated with their own external guest accounts. I think (suspect) it might be a licensing issue of some kind. As in, those external users (note, they are not "guests" in our Azure/Entra directory) aren't licensed for Word, Excel, etc., so they don't see the options to create those files. They can, however, upload any of those file types, just not create them from that menu."
