A new TV commercial for JR Central's "Let's Go Nara" tourism campaign, "Let's Go Nara," starring actor Ryohei Suzuki, was released on August 28th. The commercial follows Suzuki as he travels to the Naramachi area and the World Heritage Site of Kofuku-ji Temple, located in the center of Nara City. It will begin airing on the 29th.
The commercial begins with Suzuki saying, "Let's go, let's go to Kofuku-ji Temple," and goes on to depict him captivated by precious cultural assets such as the Ashura statue and the Chukondo Hall. After visiting Kofuku-ji Temple, he is shown walking through the streets of Nara, enjoying sweets while admiring the garden in a shoin study, eating curry made with spices that are said to have roots in Nara, and enjoying the fantastic view of Kofuku-ji Temple lit up at night.
