About Dr. Sharada Rao,
She is adept at leading global, cross-cultural teams and building organizations for stakeholder value.
She played the roles of Board Member and CEO to two start-ups prior to joining Birlasoft. She has gestated futuristic Industry 4.0 postgraduate academic curriculum at major business schools of India. She was responsible as CIO and CTO for the delivery of affordable, mobile, telemedicine healthcare solutions across rural India.
Dr. Sharada Rao managed Life Sciences Delivery at Cognizant for a 700Mn portfolio annually. Here a few major achievements were Merck, J&J, Allergan and Mylan as 100 Mn platinum accounts, Biogen Idec, Zoetis and Celgene as 50Mn accounts.
Sharada’s Product experience includes AI ML-based digital Clinical Trials products with US-based start-ups, LifeCare with CSL Bering, ICD10 compliance solutions and Revenue Cycle Management solutions in the Provider and Payer space.
MNC experience spans Microsoft, Cognizant, CSC, Tech Mahindra and Wipro. She has close to 18 years of experience with Lifesciences customers and 5 years with Automotive majors such as GM, Ford, Daimler Chrysler and Toyota. Sharada also has 5 years of BFSI experience delivering solutions to World Bank, BNP Paribas, Produbanco, Citi, JP Morgan Chase, Hartford, Prudential and Blue Cross Blue Shield.
Dr. Sharada Rao is a Council Member with GLG. She holds a doctorate in AI and Healthcare, is an alum of Stanford School of Business and has a base degree in Engineering. She is very passionate about giving, effective altruism and social entrepreneurship. She helps sustain two rural villages in India.
She is a mother of two, a prolific writer, a Reiki Master Healer and an avid blogger.
