FME generate a legend for DGNV8
This video shows an ETL in Safe Software's FME to build a legend in a DGN V8 at a pre-determined, fixed point based on pre-determined, fixed items.
Although from GIS you might be used to get data by clicking on or in a map, CAD tends to think differently. Especially when it comes to CAD files like DGN, it could be handy to provide end users with a legend. Especially when they are less familiar with the data in the DGN and for presentation purposes.
In this ETL a point was determined beforehand as well as the items to show in the legend. This could also be based on actual features in your data. For tutorial purposes, this was left out of this video. In addition, the size of the legend boxes is based on user parameters (in meters) which are not shown in this video.
