Living Among What's Left Behind - "Living Among What's Left Behind"
“Living among what is left behind”, an exhibition by award-winning photojournalist Mário Cruz, is in Almada, in the former União Elétrica Portuguesa building (EDP Building), from October 16th. An exhibition distinguished by the Portuguese Society of Authors that shows us the reality of human survival in a scenario of extreme pollution in the Pasig River, Philippines.
Through the lens of Mário Cruz, the only Portuguese photographer twice awarded by the World Press Photo, the exhibition “Living between what is left behind” reveals the conditions of life on the Pasig River, one of the most polluted and polluting rivers in the world, where people “live off their own pollution”, says Mário Cruz, in an interview with the September edition of Almada magazine.
The exhibition opens to the public from October 16th and will feature guided tours by the author, a night tour and days for visits to schools.

For school groups that want to visit the exhibition, registration must be made via email [email protected] which will be subject to confirmation. Each entry must contain the following data:
School name;
Name of the person responsible for the group;
Direct contact;
Year of schooling of the group;
Number of students;
Date of visit/group;
Time: 9 am / 9:30 am / 10 am / 10:30 am / 11 am / 11:30 am / 12 pm
Important informations
Each group should have up to 30 people;
Participation is recommended from 8 years old;
Travel from the school to the exhibition is the responsibility of the school and cannot be ensured by the municipality;
The site is not accessible for people with reduced mobility;
Access to the exhibition is via a staircase.
