Państwowa Straż Pożarna (PSP) State Fire Service -
Is a professional fire fighting service in Poland. It is subordinate to the Polish Ministry of Interior and Administration. The modern State Fire Service is based on the 1992 legislation.
State Fire Service covers the entire territory of Poland. In all the second-level units of local government and administration in Poland - powiat (county, district) -, fire brigades operate district headquarters (Komenda Powiatowa Państwowej Straży Pożarnej), city headquarters in bigger cities (Komenda Miejska Państwowej Straży Pożarnej) with command posts and dispatch centers alongside one or several fire stations (Jednostka Ratowniczo-Gaśnicza JRG). They are subject to 16 provincial headquarters (Komenda Wojewódzka Państwowej Straży Pożarnej).
Tatrzańskie Ochotnicze Pogotowie Ratunkowe (TOPR) Tatra Volunteer Search and Rescue-
Is a non-profit mountain rescue organization in Poland, rescuing stranded mountain climbers, tourists, and others in need of rescue in the Polish Tatra mountains. It is one of the oldest mountain rescue associations in the world.
Centralna Stacja Ratownictwa Górniczego (CSRG)/Ratownictwo Górnicze, Central Mine Rescue Station-
Is a specialised rescue service, thier job is rescuing miners and others who have become trapped or injured in underground mines because of mining accidents, roof falls or floods and disasters such as explosions.
Państwowe Ratownictwo Medyczne (PRM), State Medical Rescue-
is a system of free public emergency healthcare established by Ustawa o Państwowym Ratownictwie Medycznym (State Medical Rescue Act), including ambulance service and Emergency Departments (EDs). While in Polish public hospitals and clinics NFZ common public insurance is required, PRM medical services in ambulances and EDs are completely free for everyone.
Ochotnicza Straż Pożarna (OSP), Volunteer Fire Service-
Is a fire service who perform fire suppression and other related emergency services for a local jurisdiction. Volunteer and retained (on-call) firefighters are expected to be on call to respond to emergency calls for long periods of time, and are summoned to the fire station when their services are needed. They are also expected to attend other non-emergency duties as well (training, fundraising, equipment maintenance, etc.).
Volunteer fire services are usually fully integrated into the National Fire and Rescue System (Krajowy System Ratowniczo-Gaśniczy, KSRG). Any call to the fire emergency number is routed to the nearest State Fire Service (PSP) station in powiat (Komenda Powiatowa PSP) that coordinates the forces in the area. Is non-profit rescue service dealing with water rescue. They ensure the safety of all people in the water
Górskie Ochotnicze Pogotowie Ratunkowe (GOPR), Mountain Volunteer Search and Rescue-
is a partially volunteer-run non-profit mountain rescue organisation in Poland, which helps people who have come into danger in the mountains, helps prevent accidents and protects wildlife. It aids both tourists who are visiting the mountains and hiking trails and residents of small, hard-to-reach mountain towns.
Morska Służba Poszukiwania i Ratownictwa (MSPiR SAR), Maritime Search And Rescue Service-
Is a Polish state unit subordinated to the minister responsible for maritime economy, established on January 1, 2002, whose tasks include assistance and elimination of threats in the waters of the Polish zone of responsibility. He is responsible for coordinating and carrying out rescue operations at sea, removing harmful petroleum substances, and underwater work (searching, research).
