Ochotnicze/Cywilne Grupy Poszukiwawczo-Ratunkowe, Civilian/Volunteer Search And Rescue - support the Police in searching for missing persons in open areas (forests, meadows, hard-to-reach areas). The groups consist of trained volunteer rescuers who are usually supported by search and rescue dogs during search operations.
Search and Rescue Groups most often operate within Volunteer Fire Rescue Services, but some are civilian associations.

It educates the citizens by providing first aid training. The Polish Red Cross Recue Group System consists of three types of groups: the Rescue Group, the Medical Rescue Group and the Specialist Rescue Group. They are always ready to provide assistance, especially in times of catastrophes and natural disasters.
