Central Library Bond
In 1921, the Los Angeles Public Library was in need of a central library building as well as services for the expanding communities surrounding the city. The solution was putting a bond measure on the ballot. Angelenos came through in support of the library with 71% of voters in favor of the expansion of the Los Angeles Public Library system.
