Whether you are just starting to explore your family history or have been researching for years, this presentation explores how to bring it all together to create a compelling story. We discuss different mediums for sharing these stories, including written narratives, visual presentations, and oral storytelling. Join us as we celebrate the rich and diverse tapestry of the African American community, one story at a time.

Kenyatta D. Berry is an author, attorney, lecturer, professional genealogist, and television personality, whose career spans over 20 years of data collection, in-depth genealogical research, and historical content in the discipline of Genealogy. Kenyatta is a contributor to the groundbreaking “1619 Project” published by the New York Times, the 2019 Honorary Chair for Preservation Week, and was recently named a “Newsmaker” in American Libraries magazine, a publication of the American Library Association. Kenyatta’s work has been featured in publications including Black Enterprise, Good Housekeeping, Spartan Magazine, Real Simple, Wall Street Journal and Woman’s World, and she has appeared as a host on PBS’s Genealogy Roadshow.
