Here are 4 tips on preparing for coding interviews!
1. Put in your reps. You're going to want to practice algorithm style questions on LeetCode, AlgoExpert, YouTube, etc. as much as you can.
2. Do mock interviews. Get a friend to help you simulate the real interview environment, or sign up for mock interviews on sites like interviewing.io or pramp.com. Start to time yourself, see how long it takes you to solve certain problems, and then try to improve that time.
3. Practice talking through your thought process. The biggest complaint that interviewers have is that they don't know what you're thinking because you're being too quiet. So as you're practicing, talk like somebody is there. Then when you're actually interviewing, make sure there is no chance that your interviewer is lost on what you are thinking / why you're doing what you're doing.
4. Work on your soft skills. You'll be asked questions like, "Tell me about a time you failed. How did you handle it?" or "What are your strengths and weaknesses?" Know what you want to emphasize about yourself and let that shine through wherever possible. You GOT this. Good luck :)
