In this example, I build a Weather Forecast device using a Raspberry Pi Pico W and MSP2401 TFT Screen by calling a Weather Forecast Web Service. The software stack to do this is written in C++ and uses FreeRTOS Kernel and CoreHTTP along with WolfSSL to provide TLS1.2 and TLS1.3. See the course voucher below. In this video I am going to talk through how I used web services from Google Maps and from Open Weather Maps to build a weather forecasting device. I needed Google Maps to initially get my location using IP Geolocation. Then I was able to show that location by requesting a map. Before completely the process by downloading the Weather Forecast and displaying it.
