Revisiting Doom's most mysterious mod: MyHouse.wad!
It's that time of year again to get a little spooky! Today I am looking into a Doom mod that had such a profound impact on me the first time I played it, that I had to play it again, and review it!
MyHouse.wad is a Doom II mod that was created by Veddge, and uploaded to the Doomworld forums in March, 2023. It starts off as a seemingly simple house mod, with lots of nice details, but the more you play and delve deeper, the more secrets you uncover, which made waves with the community. And with a link to a mysterious song, has elevated its popularity even more.
Since its success, the creator has remained silent, either on purpose, or otherwise. Has he moved on from creating the mod, or is the silence all part of the plan? Let's delve deeper!
