Dark Reality of UPSC coaching!
I recently visited Karol Bagh, Delhi’s UPSC hub, where lakhs of people come from all over India. I was taken aback on seeing miserable condition of our aspirants.
Aspirants navigate their way through garbage-filled streets to attend their classes.
They face tangled, dangerous wires daily, which become even more hazardous during the rain.
Over 500 coaching centers have violated fire safety norms.Almost all coaching centres have same entry and exit, creating difficulties in evacuation during emergencies
There are small basements, where classes on governance and polity are held, but they don’t teach that attending classes in these basements is illegal.
The total expense for accommodation and coaching comes to around Rs. 4-5 lakh. Considering India’s national income is just Rs. 1 lakh, imagine the risks these aspirants take.
And yet, there is no regard for the lives of these hardworking students, the youth of the nation.
