This gate in Madhya Pradesh’s Chander, known as the Kari-ghati gate, was carved out of a single rock by a craftsman who cut through an 80- foot hill in just one day. However, the craftsman received no reward because the gate had no door.
Commissioned in 1490 by MP’s Sultan, it was believed that the craftsman took his life of shame.
