Qualcomm Wireless Reach and the Dariu Foundation — which helps provide students in Vietnam with the digital skills they need to succeed in an increasingly connected world — are collaborating to advance digital literacy and competencies in STEM among Vietnamese youth.
The collaboration is helping to connect primary and secondary students in Vietnam with foundational digital skills through the Vietnam Forward program. Always on, always connected laptops powered by Snapdragon compute platforms and equipped with LTE connectivity provide a consistent connection to the internet.
Students can take coding classes, and can take laptops home to further their digital literacy training. The result: 90 percent of students participating in Vietnam Forward have developed digital skills and competencies in STEM, and 100,000 primary and secondary students in 80 rural schools have been equipped with the technical skills needed for economic independence and security.
