Let’s start with Google Merchant Verification in your Shopify store. Just follow the steps here:
1. Log into your Google Merchant Center account by going to merchants.google.com
2. Click the gear icon at the top then click on Business Information.
3. Go to the ‘Website’ tab. If you’ve already set up google analytics, linked it to Google Ads, and linked Google Ads to Merchant Center, it might already show here that you’re verified. But if you haven’t done that yet, you need to do it manually.
4. You are given 3 options for verification, and the easiest one is going to be the 3rd one which is adding code to your Shopify website.
5. Click on this option and copy this piece of code.
6. Then, log in to your Shopify dashboard. Click ‘Online Store’, then ‘Themes’, and click on ‘Customize’.
7. Go to ‘Theme Actions’ and click on ‘edit code’. Click on ‘theme.liquid’ to edit.
8. Find the head tag by searching the code with control + F or command + f (if you're on a mac), then search for the opening head.
9. Make a new line after this tag, and paste the code you copied earlier.
10. Click Save, and you’ve just added the new code to your website.
Now your Google Merchant Center account in Shopify has been verified. Next, claim your website in Google Merchant Center by simply clicking the ‘Claim’ button.
