Learn how to test run your checkout process on your Shopify store. Testing your checkout flow ensures a seamless customer experience when it comes to real transactions.
👉 Step 1: Start by logging into your Shopify admin panel. Navigate to the 'Settings' tab on the left sidebar.
👉 Step 2: Click on 'Payments' to access all payment-related options for your store. To initiate the testing feature, click on 'See All Other Providers'.
👉 Step 3: Search for 'Bogus Gateway' or 'Test Gateway,' a built-in Shopify feature for testing purposes, and activate it.
👉 Step 4: Head to your store, select a product, and proceed to checkout as a regular customer. Fill in your information and use credit card numbers from Shopify's 'Help Center' page for testing.
👉 Step 5: Shopify offers various numbers for different scenarios. For a successful transaction, use the number '1'. For a failed transaction, use the number '2'. To simulate an error with a provider, use the number '3'.
