Achim B'yachad: iShine Shabbaton 2015
160 children, members of the elite iShine program from our Williamsburg, Boro Park, Monsey, Skvere, Bloomenberg and Monroe divisions, enjoyed an end of year beautiful shabbaton up in the mountains of Fallsburg, New York at Camp Nageela East.
iShine is a year round program that services siblings of Chai Lifeline patients with after school programs and several annual trips.
This was a wonderful Shabbos of achdus and camaraderie, children had much fun, got to play, swim, eat delicious Shabbos meals and ended off with a grand trip to Bowcraft amusement park along with a banquet BBQ and Kumzitz at Union County, New Jersey Park,
More importantly, the children got to express their emotions within the safety of many others experiencing the same turmoil as themselves as all are siblings of active patients.
Special shout out to the scores of Achim B'Yachad volunteers who made the shabbaton the best ever!
