History of Aragon T05xP39 | El Forau de la Tuta, a lost Roman city in Jacetania
Every year, archaeology and research continue to provide ever more information about Antiquity and periods such as the Roman rule of what they called Hispania. In recent years, in Aragon, the discoveries and work carried out on a previously unknown city from the Early Imperial period at the Forau de la Tuta site, near the town of Artieda, have been notable. Why has it gone unnoticed for so long, despite the existence of some remains? What was this previously lost Roman city at the foot of the Pyrenees like, and what was its history? What was its name, and what has been found so far? The co-directors of the site, Lara Íñiguez and Jorge Angás, tell us.
