"In order to be a Master, you have to be a servant initially!" We are all here to influence others in some way or another! At a young age, Donta Rice, chose to live by this slogan. In 1995, the conception and development of who is known today as Dominant Techniques started. Hairstyles prior to 1995 were performed by DT-Dominant Techniques, the originators and Donta's parents. It was then that Donta began to teach himself ways to "cut hair. Well, a minimum of that was the goal. Not to necessarily experiment, more so to really end up being an Expert Barber. It was then that Donta began by cutting his own hair along with his close family and friends. With time, Donta's style transformed based upon trial and errors. It was then that he began to develop his own style and unique techniques. "I never figured it out by sitting in Barbershops and or studying other barbers. I did things in my own way, remaining real to the overall art of hair-cutting. I knew I was doing something right due to the fact that the end outcome was absolutely favorable; my following was enhancing and my Legend continues to grow.
