"In order to be a Master, you need to be a servant initially!" We are all here to influence others in some way or another! At a young age, Donta Rice, chose to live by this slogan. In 1995, the conception and formation of who is known today as Dominant Techniques began. Haircuts prior to 1995 were performed by DT-Dominant Techniques, the originators and Donta's parents.

It was then that Donta started to instruct himself in the best ways to "cut" hair. Well, at least that was the objective. Not to necessarily be a hobbiest, however to actually become a Professional Barber. It was then that Donta began by cutting his own hair along with his immediate household. In time, Donta's style altered based on trial and error.

It was then that he started to develop his own design and technique. "I never trained by sitting in Barbershops and or viewing other barbers. I did things with my owne method, staying real to the total art of hair-cutting. I knew I definitely had been doing something right and well due to the fact that my overall outcome was definitely positive; my following has continued to grow.
