So let's talk about what is a calm killer. And that is not knowing. When we feel like we don't know why a student is behaving a particular way, or we don't know the strategies that would best serve that student, or we don't know why, maybe another adult that we have to work with is behaving in the way that they are, that can kill our calm.
It's this idea of feeling like we're out of the loop or we just don't feel empowered because we're just not sure what we can do to make a situation better. And we know that the more that we can understand students who've experienced trauma and adults who come to work, having experienced trauma in their, bringing the manifestations of that trauma into the workplace, not only will it help you by understanding students and others,
it will also allow you to be able to live in a more calm and peaceful environment in your workplace and in your home because you'll be able to take that information that you're learning and apply it To, to your own life and to your professional life.
