Halo EMBARRASSED Call of Duty League, Pros Switching?
Call Of Duty pros are jealous and embarrassed of how well Halo Esports is doing right out of the gate compared to the struggles the CDL has had...with some now even openly talking about switching.
Halo Esports and the HCS have been a massive success out of the gate with Halo Infinite...with 9 massive orgs signed on as partners, insane Twitch viewership of their first major qualifier event, and clean, relatively issue free gameplay...and CDL pros have taken notice. With nearly every org not in Halo now scrambling to assemble an Halo Infinite team of their own for the HCS, former CDL pro Zoomaa said it was embarrassing how much better HCS was than the CDL.
Zoomaa called Halo esports fantastic, and said they were doing a phenomenal job, and that Activision should be embarrassed at how much better they were doing things. Scump and other pros and coaches like Jkap said they couldn’t get enough watching the HCS Open Qualifier for the kickoff major, and Octane even said that CDL needs a “kick in the ass”, because they were down 5-0 and in a 1v4 vs Halo.
And with former pros like FormaL making the switch from Call of Duty to Halo Infinite, and top challengers players also making the switch, could this open the floodgates for CDL to lose pros to Halo...or will they get their act together and stop the bleeding? We will find out as HCS qualifiers continue for the next 2 weeks.
