Notes:
1. Any video editing software that can perform masking will work, though I used Davinci Resolve.
2. Make sure that your mask is "cutting out" the clip (in Davinci Resolve, you right click anywhere in the node window, add alpha output, and connect the blue part of the node to the blue alpha output.)
3. Make the transition more seamless by key-framing a color correction over the last few frames of the first clip. This allows you to make the color more similar to the second clip so they blend better.
