See Fort Frederica National Monument, a British fort built in the 1700’s in St. Simons Island, GA!
We visited this part of Georgia during the end of December and we were lucky we did. The Fort Frederica has so much history as a decisive battle took place in 1742 between the British and the Spanish with the Brits ultimately winning the battle. There are remnants of the fort as well as various home/store sights along the monument with nice views of the Frederica River. Enjoy!
