There are many things that can affect the way we see color. Nothing impacts color more than light.
As a home owner, you should always consider the light that a color will be presented in. I will always recommend that you view the color in the room it will be applied in and then also viewing the color in daylight. When viewing the color (in the actual room) also sample it in different places in the same room.
