Love in the Shadow of Despair
In the film Engineer, one of the turning points of the story is when Manouchehr decides to display Leila's photo everywhere. This action shows his despair and deep love for Leila. He begins an all-out search to perhaps find a clue about her. Along the way, Manouchehr visits shopkeepers, restaurants, and even villagers, but unfortunately, no one knows him or has any news of Leila. This scene can be a symbol of his despair and fruitless efforts to find his lost love.
