Youtube, its Cram. Is a photograph really a moment in time? I mean, shutters take time to open and close, so fast moving objects can be in multiple places in a photo, due to blurriness. So are they at two places at once? Not exactly, since cameras actually take time to open and close their shutter, whether it is digital or physical. This means more light AKA photons hit the cameras sensor than needed, adding more elements to the image than a point in time. So a faster shutter will give you a sharper image, but it will have less light, so you need a higher ISO, giving you more noise, etc etc. But, we are talking about moments here, not points in time. People think a moment is a point in time, but a moment actually has value. A moment was actually a medieval unit of measure, meaning 1/40th of an hour, or 1.5 minutes. In older jewish law it meant 1/1080th of an hour, or 3 and a third seconds. In the 17th and 18th century it was commonly used as 1 second. But nowadays it just means a short amount of time. Long answer short, a photograph is a moment in time.
