Side Project Ideas For Software Engineers (How to come up with a good idea)
Do you need an idea for your programming side project? Look no further!
Programming side projects are great for resume building, learning new skills or familiarizing yourself with a certain technology. However, it is easy to get stuck on the part of coming up with an idea, which stops you from getting to the actual coding. Well in this video I lay out a few methods I use to come up with side project ideas, in order to help you come up with a programming side project stat!
The main ways I come up with an idea for a coding project is to think about some of my favorite TV-shows and movies. Often times there will be a fake app or service that the characters use, and I decide to try and copy that!
I also take time to look through extensive API lists, as it gives you a fun way to work with large data sets in easy ways.
