Why most people can't learn to code

Learning to code can be hard if you don't do it the right way. That's why I always tell people to follow the three core stages of learning to code, and be sure to be confident in one before moving to another.

Of course, nuance exists and the barriers between the different stages can by dynamic, but ultimately it boils down to the following:

Learning the Tools: Understand your IDE, basic coding principles and logic

Learning to Assemble: Use that fundamental understanding to start building more complex projects

Learning to Build: Build enough complex projects to foster an understanding of how to build resilient and maintainable software using proven design patterns, while understanding trade-offs.
