This article examines scaling VLANs across multiple switches using VTP (VLAN Trunking Protocol).
VTP allows VLANs created on the root switch to be propagated to other switches in the network.
To do this, launch a VTP server on the root switch and specify its name and password for access. On the other switches in the network, launch a VTP client, specify the name of the server to connect to to obtain VLAN information, and the password for accessing this server. After obtaining the VLAN information, the administrator must specify which ports on a given switch belong to which VLAN.
