Let's Link Fundraiser 2022 Recap
After three years, True Star held its first in-person fundraiser and it was a huge success! The “Let’s Link for a Great Cause” fundraiser was hosted by HATCH 41 and sponsors included Onyx Wealth Group, IMC, PointB, and Flowers Communication Group.
True Star Founders Na-Tae Thompson and DeAnna McLeary Sherman presented an award to Flowers Communication Group for their dedication to True Star Foundation over the years.

True Star is a media company and digital agency led by youth. True Star youth are journalists, reporters, creatives, videographers, marketers, and brand strategists, who work alongside industry professionals.
True Star is tackling the cycle of poverty by giving young people jobs that train them on how to create, produce, distribute, and market digital content. True Star builds young people's resume and portfolios while showing them the promise of a rewarding career. True Star leverages the skills through its job training programs to create a "super team” of advanced youth creatives that deliver digital content for small businesses.
Since 2004, True Star has provided on-the-job training to over 10,000 youth ages 14-24 living primarily in underserved communities on the south and west sides of Chicago. True Star instructors are media and business industry professionals who work closely with participating youth teaching skills that are transferable to academics and the workplace.
