The FTG Festival aligns directly with True Star’s vision and mission of empowering youth of color to discover their talents, build their skills and use their voices. Since its founding in 2007, True Star has provided professional development, linkage to paid internships and employment, and youth development programming to over 10,000 youth ages 14-24. Our digital media, journalism, broadcasting, design, and marketing programs build young people's resumes and portfolios while showing them the promise of a rewarding career in media and media arts.
