How to Make Grappling Hooks - Updated Tutorial In Comments! - Minecraft: Command Block Tutorial
Today I show you how to make a grappling hook in Vanilla Minecraft only using command blocks! The commands are below, be sure to put them on a clock and always active. On A Clock:
execute at @e[type=minecraft:fishing_bobber] run summon area_effect_cloud ~ ~ ~ {Duration:1000000,Tags:["grapple"]}
scoreboard players add @e[tag=grapple] grappleTimer 1
kill @e[tag=grapple,scores={grappleTimer=50..}]
kill @e[type=minecraft:fishing_bobber,nbt={OnGround:1b}]
execute as @e[tag=grapple] at @s rotated as @a run tp @s ~ ~ ~ facing ^ ^ ^1
tp @a @e[tag=grapple,scores={grappleTimer=49..},limit=1]
Run once
/scoreboard objectives add grappleTimer dummy
