In this webinar, we introduce you to the fundamentals of troubleshooting and the recommended methods to resolve different types of common errors in AnyLogic models. We cover the two main types of errors: compile-time (i.e., ones that occur after building/before running the model, which are displayed in the "Problems" view) and run-time (i.e., ones that occur while the model is running and are displayed in the "Console" view).
The focus in this webinar is on the recommended strategies using AnyLogic's comprehensive out-of-the-box model building tools and paradigms that are available to all users. As such, AnyLogic’s Debug mode – which allows you to suspend and resume the program, inspect variables, and evaluate expressions – is NOT covered, as it is only available in AnyLogic Professional and is primarily useful for code-heavy models.
Additionally, we attempt to briefly test and demonstrate the viability of using LLMs (Large Language Models), like ChatGPT, to explain and suggest remediation based on the error messages.
