Instructions
You will need one newspaper, scissors, rubber cement and baby powder. Sometimes we use materials that require adult supervision... like scissors so make sure you have friends and family around whenever you do magic tricks.
1. Preparation: Cut a length of newspaper into a 2 inches (5 cm) strip. Coat the middle of the paper with a layer of rubber cement. Stop about 2 inches (5 cm) Let it completely dry and than lightly, then sprinkle some baby powder over it. Blow off any excess powder.
2. Performance: Show the strip of newspaper.
3. Fold it lightly in half, with the glue area inside the fold.
4. Cut off an inch of paper at the bottom. (The glue will now "seal" the two pieces together!)
5. Release the back piece of paper, which will fall, showing that the paper is still in one piece!
6. You can try it again. Drop one end and it's restored, again!

Science Behind it
The way rubber cement works, only the surface dries. Normally the two dry surfaces will
stick together with a strong bond, so when you baby powder the two surfaces they don’t stick together. The scissors bring the molecules of rubber cement into contact
establishing an intimate connection that the powder prevented. Intermolecular forces hold the strips of newspaper together. Intermolecular forces are the weak attractive forces between molecules in the liquid or solid state.
