On June 29, the NADO Research Foundation and Western Transportation Institute held a virtual roundtable on the implementation of microtransit (or on-demand transit) in rural and small metro places. This form of transit may provide an opportunity to modernize traditional demand response transportation in small communities and rural areas. During the event, several practitioners, providers, and researchers shared information about how and why rural agencies might consider microtransit as a form of transit for their communities.
