Electric vehicle infrastructure in rural areas
This interactive peer exchange occurred on Friday, May 10. Peer exchange speakers included Andrea Noel (Tennessee Department of Transportation), Chase Milner (First Tennessee Development District), Josh Rodriguez (American Association of State Highway and Transportation Officials), and the session organizer and facilitator Krishna Kunapareddy (NADO). Speakers introduced what EVs are, what EV transition means in rural regions, and how State Departments of Transportation (DOTs) and rural organizations, such as Regional Transportation Planning Organizations (RTPOs or RPOs) or similar entities, are coordinating the efforts of incorporating EV infrastructure. This event was hosted by the NADO Research Foundation in partnership with the Center for Environmental Excellence.
