The best way to find speed (IN THE RIGHT ORDER) is:
1 - Set up good exits.
2 - Get tons of rotation mid corner to feel the grip of the car
3 - Find the deceleration performance you can extract from the car under heavy braking
4 - Start slowly trail braking into the corner
5 - Find consistency in your laps
6 - .....
7 - Brake later.
Braking later is one of the last things you will do, after you figure out many other effective ways to drive safe and fast.
Braking later is a consequence, not a goal.
You grow the balls to brake later when you improve your precision to deal with the challenges of it.
