Daniel Arroyo, an ELDER of the Black Berets por La Justicia (Since 1968) talks about his recollections on how "KobraKaj" helped him in his life, and reflected on his memories of Martial Artist Master Francisco Ramirez.
According to Luis Angel Viniegra, he wrote, "SGM [Sensei Grandmaster] Francisco Ramirez was the Founder of Kobrakaj Sytem of Martial Arts, was later portrayed as a bad guy in motion picture, The Karate Kid . He was the "Bad Guy Sensei of Kobrakai Karate" ! There is more underlying history behind the use of the name Kobrakaj and changing it to Kobrakai. The movie somehow tripped out on the fighting spirit of Kobrakaj Fighters."
