Hi guys, today I'm going to show you how to texture an 3D asset, like a jug in this case, in Adobe Substance Painter.
First, you need to run 3DS Max, AND ALWAYS UNWRAP UVW BEFORE EVER ATTEMPTING TO USE SUBSTANCE PAINTER. Place the "Unwrap UVW" modifier right on top of "Editable Poly" and below any other modifiers like TurboSmooth or Shell. To unwrap, always use vertex to break up edges and vertices to allow texture to be applied onto the surface properly; If you make a mistake while unwrapping, always CLICK "Quick Planar Map" to reset all your unwrappings from scratch. Once you're done, click "export selected", then go to Adobe Substance Painter for some texturing.
BTW this is a result that I learnt from video game developers, and this is just one of the assets that will be included into another larger project. Hope this video helps you in making models, scripts and assets in Blender, Roblox Studio and 3ds Max and hope you guys Like, comment and Subscribe to Owen3dRoblox!!
