video transcript-
Dynamic Speed Management provider E-SMART has released E-SMART Seat Belt. Customizable by fleets, E-SMART Seat Belt detects if the driver is not wearing the seat belt and limits (or slows the vehicle) to a predetermined speed.
E-SMART senior vice president Joe Thell said the new technology was born just in time for the start of summer driving season, when more motorists hit the road, and due to that fact that, according to the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration, 69.3% of the drivers who died in crashes in 2022 were not wearing seat belts – something Thell called “heartbreaking,” said.
E-SMART Seat Belt addresses seat belt non-compliance in a variety of circumstances such as:
General driving – When a driver is not wearing a seat belt the vehicle will not go above a nominal, set speed. These instances are also captured in an event report.
Inside Speed-Controlled Geofenced Zones – Fleets can create custom parameters for zones (i.e. limiting speed). Reporting is also available for events in geofenced zones.
And other situations such seat belt malfunction, or if it is removed while the vehicle is in motion are also part of the comprehensive and flexible solution.
LogiNext has launched its enhanced Shipper Web App to streamline order processes, enhance real-time tracking capabilities, and optimize resource allocation, providing a comprehensive solution for shippers and dispatchers.
The LogiNext’s Shipper Web App interface enabless swift order placement, bulk uploads via Excel or APIs, and access to a vast network of carriers.
Automation of tasks like order processing, routing, and tracking allows shippers to manage high shipment volumes efficiently, and configurable service alerts keep customers informed about potential delays, ensuring transparency and satisfaction.
Tavant, a leading provider of Service Lifecycle Management (SLM) solutions, and Daimler Truck North America LLC (DTNA) have partnered to improve claim data, empower users to create ad-hoc reports, and leverage machine learning to predict standard repair processes.
The solution’s GenAI-powered modules, Warranty.AI and Knowledge.AI, allows dealers to search for vehicle information using natural language.
DTNA will benefit from the code prediction feature, which utilizes text and VMRS code analysis to make accurate code selections, thereby improving dealer experience and standardizing coding. Furthermore, advanced reporting tools will facilitate the easy submission of required data for regulatory reporting.
